 welding skills
Been thinking for a while I ought to learn how to stick bits of metal together and was talking to matt about this at Barnham this morning.
West Suffolk have a 5 week course (sat mornings 9-12) on an introduction to welding.
How did everyone else learn to weld??

Well, when I looked at how much welding the JPS needed I decided it would be cheaper to buy my own gear and weld it myself. Welding the car myself has saved me a fortune.
I was shown the basics of MIG welding at Honington Metal Workshops but to be honest I have mainly taught myself, it isnt hard to do but just takes a little time to get it to look neat. If you have access to a welder, I would give it a go for a few hours and see how you get on. You can then decide wether its worthwhile for you to do a course.

Well I have just enrolled myself on the course, gotta be worth the investment to try it out compared to what I could save in welding bills.
